Where it began

Born from a Passion for Desi Food

Lime & Spice began with a simple kitchen, a family of recipes passed down through generations, and an obsession with getting every dish just right. We wanted to bring authentic South Asian flavours to the table — not watered-down versions, not shortcuts.

The name came naturally. The Spice — for the bold, fiery heart of desi cooking. The Lime — for the fresh citrus lift that makes each bite pop. Together, they represent our food's soul: tradition with a twist.

From our first batch of Butter Chicken to catering events for over 150 guests, we've held one standard: every portion freshly made, every flavour unapologetically authentic. That hasn't changed, and it never will.

Our kitchen is led by a chef with decades of experience in authentic South Asian cuisine — from home cooking in Pakistan to preparing lavish wedding feasts and corporate lunches across the UK.

The Lime & Spice kitchen isn't built on trend-chasing. It's built on mastery. On knowing exactly when to add the cumin, how long the onions need, and why a squeeze of lime at the end changes everything.

2021
The First Pot

Lime & Spice was founded with a handful of family recipes, a commitment to authenticity, and the idea that citrus could elevate every curry.

2022
Deliveroo Launch

We joined Deliveroo, bringing our Butter Chicken and Biryanis to thousands of homes across the area. Five-star reviews started pouring in.

2023
First 100-Person Event

Our catering arm officially launched. Our first major event — a community celebration for 100 guests — was a complete sellout on food.

Serving 150+ Guests

Now serving events of up to 150 people with custom menus, freshly cooked food on the day, and a growing reputation for going above and beyond.
